Terms of use

Stackflyer provides idea development, editing, voice analysis, publishing, repurposing, public-post conversion, Substack search, social-preview links, and related tools for independent writers. The service is currently offered as a free beta and may include usage limits, experimental features, and occasional interruptions.

You may use Stackflyer only if you can legally agree to these Terms and meet the minimum age required in your location. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

You retain ownership of drafts, ideas, voice samples, and other content you submit. You give Stackflyer a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, transmit, and process that content only as necessary to provide, secure, and maintain the service. This permission ends when the relevant content is deleted, subject to reasonable technical retention and legal obligations.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content, including any personal information or third-party material it contains.

The downloader is limited to content made publicly accessible by the publisher. You are responsible for respecting copyright, publisher terms, and any limits on copying, redistribution, or commercial use. Stackflyer does not grant you rights in third-party articles and may restrict use that appears abusive or automated.

LinkLift redirects visitors to a destination you provide and may display public metadata from that page. You may not use it for phishing, impersonation, misleading previews, concealed harmful destinations, spam, or infringement. You are responsible for the accuracy of edited titles and descriptions and for complying with the rules of the platforms where you share the link.

Search results and engagement figures come from public third-party data and may be incomplete, delayed, reordered, or inaccurate. You are responsible for checking original sources before relying on, quoting, or contacting a writer or publication.

AI outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, generic, offensive, or unsuitable for your purpose. They may resemble material generated for other users. You remain responsible for reviewing, fact-checking, editing, and deciding whether to publish or rely on any output. Stackflyer does not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

When you request an AI tool, relevant content is sent to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit highly sensitive, regulated, secret, or confidential information.

You may not use Stackflyer to:

• break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or facilitate fraud, harassment, exploitation, or abuse;
• generate or distribute malware, phishing, spam, deceptive impersonation, or harmful automated content;
• probe, disrupt, bypass, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or another workspace;
• share, expose, sell, or misuse access credentials, API keys, or anonymous workspace keys; or
• use the service in a way that violates applicable third-party terms, including the terms of the AI provider.

The beta does not currently require an account. A random key stored in your browser unlocks your anonymous workspace. If that key is lost because you clear browser data or change devices, we may be unable to restore access. You are responsible for exporting and keeping backups of important work.

Stackflyer, its software, interface, design, branding, and original site content are owned by Stackflyer or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or to copy, resell, or create a competing service from protected parts of the product.

Stackflyer relies on third-party infrastructure and AI services. Their availability and terms may affect the service. Stackflyer is independent of Substack Inc. and is not sponsored, affiliated with, or endorsed by Substack. References to Substack describe the audience and intended workflow only; Substack is a trademark of its respective owner.

We may add, remove, limit, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, control beta costs, or improve the product. We may restrict access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated. Where practical, we will try to provide notice of material changes or discontinuation so users can export their work.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stackflyer is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, error-free AI output, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stackflyer and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the free beta will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim or US$100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. These Terms are governed by the law that applies to the operator and the transaction, without limiting mandatory consumer rights in your country. Any dispute will be heard by a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law unless both sides agree to another lawful process.

We may update these Terms as Stackflyer evolves. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law. Questions can be sent to hello@stackflyer.com.
